The History of Williams Signs + Graphix
Established by Doug Williams in the early 1960’s, Williams Signs + Graphix has helped Otago businesses showcase their business branding on cars, buildings and so much more for well over sixty years.
In 1996, Williams Signs + Graphix merged with Chrystall Plastics Ltd, a company of some 50 years, expanding our total range of services to our clients.
In the years since, we have established a strong position in the Otago market with a proud reputation for Quality and Service that will not be compromised. These standards have been recognised by the NZSDA (NZ Sign & Display Association), who have presented us with numerous awards for our work on both the national and international stages.
Over the years, we have expanded our signwriting services to provide everything from traditional signage to wide format digital printing and so much more.
All members of the Williams Signs + Graphix team are trained to an elite standard, and completely understand the need to excel and exceed, wherever possible, customer expectations. Our applicators are both 3M and Avery-approved and are experienced in all types of film application.

Peter Ryder
Managing Director
Peter Ryder has been the Managing Director of Williams Signs + Graphix since 2018, after a successful and diverse work history in a wide range of industries. With a background in the Forestry and Retail sectors, Peter is well-versed in the unique challenges that can come from working in vibrant and fast-paced workplaces with logistics and service a key strength.
Seeking out a new challenge, Peter and wife Wendy – who you’ll regularly meet as the head of first impressions – are looking to take their local business clients to the next level by helping with class leading design and print quality signage products and results.
Outside of the office, Peter will be at the gym or enjoying spoiling his grandchildren

Tim Kemmett
Production Manager
Our Production Manager with over fifteen years as part of Williams Signs + Graphix, Tim Kemmett leads our Production team in creating signage that you and your clients will love!
With his Graphic design background has a sharp eye for detail, working with Tim means your final product will be of exceptional quality. Motivated by helping your business reach new heights, Tim leads his team to strive for time and quality standards second to none in their workmanship every day.
When he’s away from the office, you can find Tim either with his family, at the gym or brewing craft beer.
